Let’s connect
and dig deep.
Justin who?
Random Facts
I love storytelling, I have two cats named after fictional characters, my favorite number is 64, I play video games low-key obsessively, tacos are my favorite food, and I’ve spent more time thinking about fictional worlds than real world parking logistics.
The Backstory
I’m a filmmaker, game designer, and content creator.
That’s all cool to say, but how did I get here?
I would devour stories wherever I could find them as a kid - didn’t matter if I was getting chills reading Goosebumps, watching the 90’s live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies on VHS, or playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on my brother’s Nintendo 64. I loved that sense of adventure and fun.
Then I got my hands on a tool that would allow me to tell my own stories - a Sony DV Camcorder (look up exact model)!
From then on I would gather my friends to make any movie we could (change it to tell any story - frame it as more than just movies). Sometimes we would dress up in our Halloween costumes in the middle of summer and act in our home movies, other times we would bring our action figures to life through stop motion animation and silly voices. Always trying to make ourselves laugh and tell even crazier stories.
My passion for filmmaking, video games, comics, and just plain ol’ fun carried me through my college days. I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors in Film and Media Arts. I had many student films under my belt by the time I had my diploma in hand, My skill was noted and I even gave my class’ commencement speech. I had learned the basics of making professional work, but life still had much to teach me.
I kept feeling like the stories I was trying to tell just weren’t firing on all cylinders. They lacked a depth that my favorite movies and games had. Life, faith, and hard-earned experience changed that.
Through broken hearts, missed opportunities, and varied seasons of growth, I encountered Christ, and where I had a creative spark, I now found a creative bolt of lightning.
Over the past seven years, my life and work has changed drastically as I’ve built my creative practice.
I like my fun with a side of meaning.
The Quest
Now, I’m pouring all of my creative energy into a single, all-out attack!
That just means building my creative practice in a way that is true to who I am - channeling all of my ideas through a single lens: Create | JustRight. Think of it as my creative quest. It’s how I’m housing all my ideas, stories, and projects into work that I’m excited to keep making.
This isn’t just about making things. It’s about making sense of a calling to do something cool and meaningful with my brand. I want to use both the dark and light of life to resonate with those around me. And I’m ready to get started.
Last year I lost my mother… so I stepped back for a while. That season was hard, but it gave me clarity. Tomorrow isn’t promised, so I’m done waiting for the “right time.” I’m choosing to create now, pursue the dreams I’ve carried for years, and listen closely to where God has been nudging me to go.
So, now I’m setting off on this new adventure - showing the real process of building an awesome creative practice. The ideas, the why, the work, and the mess in between. If you believe the world needs some more light, unabashed creativity, and thought-provoking work, I’d love for you to join me. I’m adventuring through life, banding together with other creatives, and chasing something meaningful.
Also fun. Because life is too short not to balance the serious with the ridiculous.
