Justin who?

Random Facts

I love storytelling, I have two cats named after fictional characters, my favorite number is 64, I play video games low-key obsessively, tacos are my favorite food, and I’ve spent more time thinking about fictional worlds than real world parking logistics.

The Backstory

I’m a filmmaker, game designer, and content creator.

That’s all cool to say, but how did I get here?

I would devour stories wherever I could find them as a kid. Goosebumps gave me chills. I wore out our 90’s live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles VHS. Playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on my brother’s Nintendo 64 felt like stepping into an entirely different world that I got lost in for hours.

I loved that sense of adventure and fun. I just didn’t know yet that I’d spend my life chasing it.

Then I got my hands on a Sony Digital 8 Video Camcorder!

That was it. That was the moment.

From then on I would gather my friends to tell any story we could. Sometimes we would dress up in our Halloween costumes in the middle of summer and act in our own home movies, other times we would bring our action figures to life through stop motion animation and silly voices. Always trying to make ourselves laugh and tell even crazier stories.

My passion for filmmaking, video games, comics, and just plain ol’ fun carried me through college.

I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors in Film and Media Arts. I had many student films under my belt by the time I had my diploma in hand. I even gave my class’s commencement speech.

I was learning how to make professional work. But I was about to find out that technical craft and real storytelling aren't the same thing.

Life, faith, and hard-earned experience changed that.

Through broken hearts, missed opportunities, and varied seasons of challenging growth, I encountered Christ, and where I had a creative spark, I now found something closer to a bolt of lightning.

"The stories I was telling weren't firing on all cylinders. They lacked a depth that my favorite movies and games had."

Over the past seven years, everything has changed — my life, my work, and the stories I now feel called to tell.

Want to see where that lightning bolt has gone?

The Quest

Now I’m pouring all of my creative energy into a single, all-out attack!

I’m building a creative practice that houses all of my ideas, stories, and projects by channeling everything through a single lens: Create | JustRight.

This isn't just about making things. It's about making sense of a calling — to do something cool and meaningful with my life. I’ve been through a lot these last few years, and I want to use both the light and dark of life to connect with those around me.

Last year I lost my mother.

I stepped back for a while. That season was hard, but it gave me clarity. Tomorrow isn’t promised, so I’m done waiting for the right time. I’m choosing to create now, pursue the dreams I’ve carried for years, and listen closely to where God has been nudging me to go.

So here's where I'm headed - showing the real process of building an awesome creative practice — the ideas, the why, the work, and the mess in between.

I'm adventuring through life, banding together with other creatives, and chasing something meaningful. If you believe the world needs more light, unabashed creativity, and thought-provoking work, I'd love for you to come along.

Also fun. Because life is too short not to balance the serious with the ridiculous.
