The Hokorone is a mysterious entity. A warrior whispered about in the occult circles of the crime underworld, brought out only when people tamper with the natural order of the world. He goes by many names and reeks of wasted potential.

Questions I want to ask through this story
Fighting is often a spectacle, but is there something more to it?
The power of spectacle and the lens of a camera - The original Theo mini that I’ve built the idea around has a camera, so I’ve incorporated that into the story and it’s made
As a Christian, I believe we all have an ever lasting soul, but how do we feel it or connect with the spiritual part of us in a physical fight? Where do we draw the line of morality? How do we handle the question of our own mortality and life after death?
The soul and what that means to us.
What it should feel like
Action over words
Almost no dialogue. Movement and rhythm tell the story, and it’s a story with two focused characters.
An Other space
Dimension-jumping scenes are planned for a large LED wall, slowly reading as a tabletop world without giving the game away.
The camera sees the truth
Theo's camera is more than a prop. It reveals what a situation really is and opens the door between worlds.
Tonally in the neighborhood of Samurai Jack's silent hero, Edgar Wright's awesome kinetic style, and the quick-thinking brawls in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes.
Want to be a part of it?
I’m looking for collaborators - this is a passion project and part of Create | Just Right’s #100daysproject.
The goal is to have this film shot and edited by January 1st, 2027
